I remember the first time I walked out on stage. At age eight, I had my very own speaking role in our local church musical. That moment, when my voice, my actions carried out into the audience, and I could feel it impact them. That, was LIVING. I feel that moment again every time I step on a stage in character, every time I act before a camera. Impacting an audience, using only myself. It's like breathing clear air after leaving a stuffy, closed space. I wanted to live as a full-time actor.
So, I chose to pursue my degree in theater, and additional training afterward. I toured Southeast America with the Shining Light Players. I wrote my own one-woman-show A Light in the Darkness, which I perform regularly. I'm still learning, still growing, still pursuing. and I love it!
